The visitor center is located close to the festival hall and therefore in the cultural center of the garden town. The building is oriented towards the public space and invites the people to enter.
Every single of the four long building parts has different functionalities which merge in the three cutting points. These cuts create interesting and atmospheric courtyards and the building interprets the concept of a garden town in a whole new way.
The central courtyard which the visitor has to transit through to get to the main entrance plays a very important role. While walking through the courtyard they get a first impression and orientation. The main entrance is in the center of the building from which the visitor explores the building and the other outdoor areas.
