EVENTPAVILION WANGELIN

The Eventpavilion is located in a small german town called Wangelin. The Building is supposed to be the new center point of the towns fairground based right in between the hotel, restaurant and outdoor fairground. The Pavilion is a very transparent structure which opens up the space and connects the differents areas of the property for a better atmosphere. The roof which has a wavy shape is protecting the people from rain to be able to have events when the weather is not sunny. Because of the roofs shape the Pavilion is devided into different sections through different heights. On the one half with the highest ceiling one will find the event space an on the other half there are permanent areas () which are separated into three different solids to keep the open space and transparency of the pavilion.

All used materials can be found in the area either new or recycled. The Structure and floor is made out of wood and the three permanent spaces are made from clay. The roof facing is composed of recycled aluminium or metal plates. On top of the roof there are solar panels. Therefor the building is able to produce and use it’s own power.
